Seriplex™ Interface
for Momentum™ PLC |
|
The Seriplex range is currently in obsolescence and will be obsolete end of 2009. Do not use in new applications. Use only for replacement devices in current applications.
A variety of control architectures
Acting as a slave to its host controller and
as a master for the Seriplex
bus, the Seriplex interface for Momentum controllers allows a Modicon® Momentum
processor adapter or communications adapter to exchange I/O data
with a Seriplex bus. This design supports three powerful control
architectures:
- Standalone Momentum controllers with
Seriplex I/O devices
- Networked,
distributed Momentum controllers, some or all of which may connect
to Seriplex I/O devices
- A centralized control processor connecting
to Seriplex bus devices and/or other types of I/O devices through
a higher-level control network such as Modbus® Plus, DeviceNet,
Ethernet, Interbus-S or Profibus DP
Product features
- Seriplex bus data appears to the host
as 32 input and 32 output registers, with control and status functions
contained in first register.
- Extensive fault indication both to the
user via front-panel LEDs, and to the host via status register.
- Capacity
of 992 discrete I/O, 62 analog I/O, or combinations.
- Seriplex bus operation
is controlled by the host's application program.
- Seriplex programming
function blocks are provided in both Modsoft™ and
Concept™ PLC software.
- A Windows®-hosted Calculator
program determines control register value and register data map based
on interface parameter selections.
- Supports Seriplex V2 data error
detection methods: Digital Debounce and CDR (Complimentary Data Retransmission).
- DIN rail or panel mount capabilities
- Operates from 24VDC Seriplex bus power
