Reduced Voltage Starting to Reduce Water Hammer
In addition to our traditional Wye-Delta reduced voltage pump controllers, we offer a new ALTISTART 46 soft starter with special control algorithms to reduce water hammer. The ALTISTART 46 is the first soft start that bases acceleration and deceleration ramping on the motor torque rather than on current or voltage. Compared to traditional soft starts, this improves "torque efficiency" and reduces current requirements and subsequent motor heating.

Pre-Packaged Solutions
Square D can also save you design and installation time with our pre-packaged pump control solutions. These include AC duplex motor control packages for two pump applications where alternating between pumps is desired to reduce wear.
